Up early like that is something new and cleaned up all the leftover dishes and put away the clean ones. Got some work out of the way and got packed as we were going to be out by noon. Took a few minutes to enjoy the view. We look right out on the house boats.
And here is another perspective. We checked out by noon and then headed down to Barb's for fish and chips. Great place and oh was it crowded. Could not find parking so dropped Markie off and went for a half hour drive to see the lovely flowers and then back to pick him up.Next, dropped him at the Kenmore air terminal on the water and here is a picture of his plane coming in as Blackball left. The two morning flights had been canceled due to fog in Seattle, but he got home and I was off to Vancouver. Had a 3pm reservation, but made the 2pm ferry.
On the ferry had a bit of an incident as I was playing the "Overture of 1812" a tad too loud and it appears some of the passengers thought I was shooting a gun when in reality the cannons were going off on the CD. BC Ferry security stopped by and all got worked out. It was on to the hotel and dinner with Stitch a dear faerie friend in Vancouver at Fet's Bar & Grill.
A delightful dinner was shared and then the thunder storms hit and it just poured, but cleared by the time we departed. Back at the hotel by 8:30pm and another friend, Steve, arrived to chat a while before heading home and my night in Vancouver came to a close. Wow, what a full day and tomorrow was going to be just as full.
