Last night the streets of Seattle lit up with floats, bands, huge balloons and thousands of people as this annual tradition kicked off the major week of Sea Fair. It will conclude next weekend with the hydroplane races which are just plain crazy if you ask me, but hey, they did not. I was invited to a party downtown, but passed as I just do not handle the crowds like I used to. I stayed home and cooked some country style pork ribs and watched the craziness on TV. Much more logical and quite comfortable.
