While I had something else planned for today's post, it got postponed because of this historic day at the Supreme Court. In a pair of landmark rulings, the Supreme Court struck down
DOMA, giving married gay couples access to federal benefits — and declined to
rule on Prop 8, paving the way for same-sex couples to wed again in
California.
John Lewis, left, and his partner Stuart Gaffney embrace next to Andrea Shorter after the Supreme Court decision at the office of San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee in San Francisco, June 26.
