Yesterday I ventured over to Jodie & Rob's for an afternoon and evening of games, laughter plus some mighty fine nibbles. After enjoying several deviled eggs Jodie brought out Risk for us to play first. Had not played in years. For reference the top photo is what the original game looked like with little wooden pieces. Below is what a more modern version looks like with plastic pieces. The current edition even has nuclear plants. Well, we played a version with the plastic pieces. It was a lot of fun and having a few cocktails and battling for world domination.
In the end, I won and it was time to share a dinner of chicken salad wraps with sliced cheese on the side plus a variety of olives and pickles. Then it was time for Catan and all too soon we were done and I made my way home getting in just after 10pm. What a fun afternoon.
