You know it is bad when we make lead story on the national news. The rain started on Friday evening just after Damon's arrival. The rain did not let up for days. It was just amazing at times how hard it rained. You could hear it on the roof of the building and to say sheeting rain would still not describe it. Add the winds and at times it was raining sideways.
There was a slight break on Sunday morning and then it returned and kept coming down in a deluge. From what they reported on the news this morning the average rainfall for the entire month of September in Seattle is 1.5" of rain. We had nearly 3" over the weekend. This morning we had a bit of a break and then it returned with a vengeance! It was raining so hard I could barely see the building next door. Totally insane. Now there is blue sky out there...but for how long?
