A Full Week Of Oh My!

So here we are in the early part of June and what a week it is.  I mean there is the French Open going on where the players are in full swing as they play on the infamous red clay courts.
Then you have all the hoop-la over California Chrome who will be running in the Belmont Stakes this Saturday and could be the first Triple Crown in over 30 years.
Then there is the Grand Floral Parade on Saturday.  A cherished highlight of the Portland Rose Festival, this popular procession is more than a spectacular floral-filled parade; it’s a beloved annual tradition. For more than 100 years, Portland families, visitors and community groups have been making memories at the Spirit Mountain Casino Grand Floral Parade.
One of the largest marching bands in the world, the One More Time Around Again Marching Band presented by Standard TV & Appliance is marching through Rose Festival events for the 30th straight year! To mark this historic occasion, the OMTAAMB is honored as the Grand Marshal of the 2014 Spirit Mountain Casino Grand Floral Parade. With 440 members performing in the parade, this Grand Marshal will stretch over two city blocks!

But really, while all the above are fine and good, we should pause this day in that on this day in 1907 history was forever changed.  It was on this day that the automatic washer and dryer were introduced.
Indeed, we do have our priorities!  Thus concludes my throwback Thursday tribute as who would really want to be spending the day down at the creek side using rocks to wash our clothes.  Not me!  Happy Friday Eve to all.
