Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

What is it about snow? Always brings out the kid in us when it is falling and yet makes the best driver become complete idiots! I live on the top floor of my building and have a great view. The snow makes for a great show to watch the roof tops turn glowing white while the courtyard grows silent and waits for the invading dog seeking relief. Seeing the freeways light up with increasing lights as traffic slows or sometimes stops while a gentle hush takes over as people pause in wonder. When the snow begins there is great anticipation on just how much will fall? Will there be school tomorrow? Can I just stay home and snuggle under the covers?

Then reality begins to set in as the grinding of the plows invade the silence. Rain is often right behind and makes for slush and sloppy roads. People begin to get out and see what has happened and deciding if the errands really need to be run or can they be postponed? Oh the snow if it only knew what joy, frustration and multiple emotions it brings out. Yes, it is the joy of winter at its' best.
