Ah, The Weekend Is Here

After a week of rather bland postings, I felt we needed a bit of festive fun to kick off the weekend.  I got this image from a friend's posting on facebook - Thanks Perry.  It is the weekend and there is a lot going on with cold weather, my run down to Portland might not happen, we shall see how the roads are.  If no problem, we (that would be Damon and moi) will head south tomorrow morning and spend the weekend.  Dinner with Janet and a relaxing time showing his the sights & sounds of the City of Roses.  Damon arrives this evening at around 9pm and then we will have a late supper. 

It is brisk up here in the Emerald City and last night I had to turn on the heat for the first time this season.  Yes, it got that COLD!  Boy, for a small heater it sure packs a punch.  But I am so not complaining.  Slept like a baby last night.  After a breakfast today of yogurt with protein powder and some blueberry flavoring, it was off to the office this morning in the cold.  We are talking mid-20's folks and there were some slick spots.  Did see at least two cars spun out and hitting the ditch.  Why do people just slow down and all would be good!

So if no snow we will drive to Portland, but if there is nasty weather it will be hanging out at the apartment and the visit south can occur the next weekend.  I do like having flexibility.  The Christmas tree will also be going bye-bye next weekend as it finds a new home with my friends Sandy & Allen down in Longview.  She has admired the tree a long time and with the upcoming move, it is time for change.  Sure, I am not moving until spring, but folks, that is only 79 days away.  Bring it on.
